Zine Circle — Write, Design & Publish with Avril Horan

€35.00

Join us at LIV Vintage Studio for the Zine Circle, a creative writing and publishing workshop led by Avril Horne, journalist with the Connacht Tribune and a long-time supporter of creative voices in Galway.

Avril believes in writing that comes directly from human experience — encouraging participants to trust their own ideas and creativity rather than relying on AI.

In this three-hour workshop, participants explore storytelling through fashion, culture and community while developing work for the LIV Vintage Studio Zine.

Each session begins by choosing a theme together from the studio theme bowl — a collection of prompts touching on fashion, identity, politics, spirituality, environment and creativity. The group draws from the bowl and lets the theme guide the writing and creative exploration of the session.

Participants may respond through writing, collage, visual storytelling, fashion commentary or personal reflection.

Everyone is welcome — whether you’re an experienced writer or simply curious to explore your voice.

Over time these sessions will build the LIV Vintage Studio community zine, documenting the people, ideas and creative culture growing around the studio.

Bi-weekly workshop

Limited to 11 participants

Tea and Cookies always!
